William "Bill" BLAKE Of Kirkland, WA, passed away Friday, December 8th at Evergreen Hospital in Kirkland. He was born November 7, 1933 in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of fifty years, Dianna, their son, Curt, daughter in law, Kelli and grandchildren, Gavin and Anna, all of whom he was extremely proud. Also survived by his sister, Norma Shoupe and niece, Stephanie Steinberger. Bill worked for several airlines and during this time he and his family lived in the U.S., Southeast Asia and Africa. He retired from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1999. Bill had heart problems for many years but with Dianna's love and support and his own positive attitude he beat the odds for a long time. Bill loved his family, his friends, traveling, golf, music and a good party. He had a passion for politics and social justice. He will be missed by all. The Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 18 at Acacia Funeral Home, 14951 Bothell Way NE, Seattle. We've enjoyed being neighbors and friends of Bill Blake for 20 years. He was an interesting and wonderful man with a great sense of humor. And he will be missed very much.
