William Borrows Obituary

William Robert 'Bob' BORROWS We sadly mourn the passing of our beloved husband, fatherand grandfather William Robert 'Bob' Borrows who died Monday, July 18, 2011. Bob was born in Seattle April 16, 1920. He is survived by his wife Jeanne; sons: Michael (Susan), Bill (Jill); daughters: Julie Borrows, Mary Borrows, NancyMarie Hendricks (Art); and grandchildren: Olivia Borrows, Keegan O'Kelley, Sean O'Kelley, Isaiah Hendricks, and Travis and Madison Hendren. Bob was raised on Capitol Hill, attending St. Joseph's, Seattle Prep and Seattle University. He was a decorated war hero serving in WWII and was one of the first POW to return home to Washington State. He and Jeanne celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on April 16, 2011. The family spent joyous years at their beach home on Whidbey Island, where Bob was famous for his Sunday breakfasts and his barbecued chicken. Bob & Jeanne also loved Maui and spent many years vacationing in their home there. Please join the family in celebrating Bob's life. A Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 on Monday, July 25, 2011 at St. Mark's Parish in Shoreline; followed by a private burial at Tahoma National Cemetery, Kent. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Northwest Kidney Center Please share memories with the family at: www.becksfuneralhome.com.

'Grandpa Bob' will always hold a special place in our hearts. Remembering the smiles, laughter and love shared through the years, we were very lucky indeed, to have such a special man touch our lives.
