William Kriner Obituary

William Kevin Kriner

Born on 10-25-58 in Seattle, Bill was, above all things, devoted to his family. His children, Michelle and Darren, and wife of 27 years, Kathy, meant the world to him. Bill grew up on Lake Sammamish and had many fond memories of childhood pets and spending summers outdoors. He graduated from Interlake High School in 1977. A dedicated employee, Bill worked for US West for 16 years (where he met Kathy), eventually settling in IT. He then moved on to Washington Dental Service for 14 years, followed by Providence Medical Center for 2.5 years as an infrastructure architect. His colleagues relied on his steady, calm leadership style and the friendships he made at his jobs have lasted decades. Bill loved a good round of golf, traveling to Hawaii with is his family, doting on his pets, and had a lifelong love of guitar playing and rock music. He succumbed to complications

from prostate cancer on 11-30-13,

surrounded by his family and kitten at Evergreen Hospice. He was also supported through his 18 month struggle by his brother Steve and sister-in-law Marilou.

A celebration of Bill's life was held Saturday, December 7, 2013. Remembrances may be made to Partners in Health or your favorite charity.
