William Reed Obituary

William A. REED Bill Reed of Shoreline, formerly of Kent, died October 21. He was 85. Born in Dallas Texas, Bill served in the US Navy in WWII and married Ruth Cross in 1944 and graduated from UW as a mechanical engineer. In 1962, Bill left General Dynamics in Texas and became a missionary pilot in the Congo where he, his wife, and four young daughters enjoyed a rich and exciting experience. In 1965, Bill joined the Boeing Company in Seattle as an engineer in the Space Simulation Lab, and AWACS programs. Bill's interests included flying, hiking, mountaineering, sailing, and ham radio. Bill is survived by his wife, four daughters and their families. A Memorial Service will be held, Saturday, October 28th, at 1:00 p.m. in the Mountlake Terrace Christian Church, 5304 232nd St SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 12721 30th Avenue NE, Suite 101, Seattle, WA 98125.

Ruth and family,

We are so pleased to have known Bill and you when we all were involved at MTCC. Bill was a wonderful man and his devotion to God is a great example for us all.

Our hearts go out to you now in the loss of Bill and we certainly wish God's blessing on you all.
