Yae Yorozu Memoriam

Yae Akai Yorozu

Yae Akai Yorozu was born in Portland, Oregon on June 4, 1919 and died in Seattle, Washington on May 25, 2016, just ten days shy of her 97th birthday.

Yae was married to William Yorozu for nearly 62 years until his passing in 2006. Yae is survived by her four children: Akiko Joyce Larson and her husband, Carl Larson and their daughter, Erika Larson; Christine Yorozu and her husband, Richard Smith; Kenneth Yorozu and his wife, Jeanne and their daughters Taryn Northcutt and Courtney Yorozu; and David Yorozu and his wife, Pam and their children Adrien Piro, Emi Papson and Brian Yorozu. She is also survived by four great-grandsons.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church (3001 24th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington 98144).

Memorial gifts may be made to the William S. Yorozu Scholarship Fund at Blaine Memorial United Methodist Church or Keiro Northwest Kokoro Kai Adult Day Program (700 - 6th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington 98104).
