Yanlan OwYong Yang

Yanlan OwYong YANG Passed away suddenly at age 78 on Feb 5, 2006. Born in Canton, China on April 21, 1928, she married Robert in July 17, 1955. She raised five daughters in Manila, Philippines before emigrating to Seattle, Washington in 1978. She worked tirelessly for the elderly at the Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) and Kin On Nursing Home before retiring. Although frail in health, she was outgoing and had many friends who were all special to her. Her faith sustained and comforted her. She is survived by her older brother, Sy O'Young; daughters, Olivia Yang, Octavia Hathaway, Olga Yang, Oriana Pon, and Owena Yang-Totorica; son-in-laws, Jim Hathaway and Ralph Totorica; grandson, Kyle Robert Totorica and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on February 18, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Seattle Chinese Alliance Church on 2803 South Orcas Street, Seattle Washington 98108. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Chinese Information Service Center (CISC) or Kin-On Nursing Home.
