Debra Burton Obituary

Debra B. Burton, 58, of Springfield, formerly of Sedalia, died Sunday, August 8, 2010, at her home in Springfield. She was born on November 24, 1951, in Sedalia, a daughter of Floyd Cecil and Eleanor Ann Strumph Weathers.

On June 12, 2001, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Laverne E. Burton, who survives.

She was a member of the New Apostolic Church in Sedalia, since 1975. She was a homemaker and loved being a mom, grandma, great grandma and spending time with her family.

She is survived by ten daughters, Helen Ammons of Arizona, Melissa Redwine and her husband Luther of Oregon, Patricia Palomo of Missouri, Melinda Martin and her husband Jeff of Missouri, Kristy Lewis and her husband David of Missouri, Elizabeth Robins, of Oregon, Amanda Weathers, of Missouri, April Burton, Ashley Burton, and Eleanor Burton all of the home; three sons, Raymond Walters and his wife Tiffany of Missouri, Michael Rehkop and his wife Amiee of Oregon, Rodney Rehkop and his wife Holly of Missouri; seven sisters; five brothers; 26 grandchildren, and five great grand daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010, at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia , with Ron Sorenson, Rick Rehkop and Rick Weathers officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from one hour prior to funeral service on Friday at the chapel.

The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the three youngest daughters in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Pallbearers will be Curtie Rehkop, Robert Smith, David Robbins, Raymond E. Walters, Mike Yurisich, and Richard Ammons.
