Grace Anne Leicher

1930 - 2021

Grace Anne Leicher, 90, of Sedalia, MO, passed peacefully to her heavenly home on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
She was born October 30, 1930, in Sedalia, a daughter of Norvel and Gertrude Lane. She was the seventh child of eight.
She attended Quisenberry Grade School and graduated from Smith-Cotton High School in 1949.
On July 3, 1955, at Camp Branch Church in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to William Kenneth Leicher. Together they shared 62 years of marriage before his death on January 26, 2018.
She was a long-time member of Bethany Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and VBS in her younger years. Daily Bible reading was important to her.
Grace was a loving mother who, along with her husband, raised four children.
She enjoyed being outside working, tending her flowers and watching the birds.
Survivors include a daughter, Pamela Schultz (Scot), of Sedalia; a son, Lyndon Leicher (Kim), of Valley View, TX; five grandchildren, Bryan, Brent, Jaime, Kyle and Rachel; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary Louise Anderson, of Willard, MO, Doris Warren, of Kearney, MO, and Alberta Bock, of Valencia, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Wayne Leicher; a daughter, Sharon Deuel; and brothers Melvin Lane, Ralph Lane and Shelby Lane; and a sister, Ruby Bopp.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Heckart Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Bowen officiating.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Casket bearers will be Danny Lane, Grandin Lane, David Warren, Brent Farris, Glenn Lane and Scot Schultz.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery
