Helen Hanger

Helen Hanger, 92, of Windsor, Missouri, died early Thursday morning, May 31, 2012, at her home in Windsor.

She was born April 18, 1920, in Windsor, Mo., the daughter of Fred Wellington Mantonya and Rosie Blanche (Scrimager) Mantonya. On September 28, 1936, in Clinton, Mo., she married William A. "Jiggs" Hanger, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1993.

Mrs. Hanger was a homemaker and a child care provider for many years. She enjoyed needle work and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Quick and her husband Eddie, Windsor, Mo.; 2 sons, Robert Hanger and his wife Shirley, Windsor, Mo.; Jerry Hanger and Brenda, Sedalia, Mo.; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and a niece. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sons, 2 brothers, 2 sisters and a granddaughter.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2012, at the Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, with Rev. Doug Hall officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service on Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor. The family suggests memorial contributions to Laurel Oak Cemetery and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
