Kenneth Dean Blankenship, 75, of Otterville, MO, died February 17, 2009 at Tipton Oak Manor.

He was born January 1, 1934 in California, MO, son of Frank Blankenship and Goldie Allee Blankenship.

On August 29, 1952, in Harrison, Arkansas, he was united in marriage to Ethel Doilene Oehrke, who preceded him in death.

He worked for Stridrite Shoe Factory, was a lineman for LPH Construction, and worked for McGraw-Edison, Sedalia, MO.

Surviving are his sons, Larry Blankenship & his wife Susie, Otterville, MO, Donnie Blankenship and his wife Sandy, Houstonia, MO, Ronnie Blankenship and his wife Jeanette, Independence, MO; daughter, Peggy Schoen and her husband, Bernie, Otterville, MO; sister, Betty Baker and her husband Kenny, Tipton, MO; 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21 at 1:00 p.m. at Meisenheimer Funeral Home, Tipton, MO, with the Rev. Harold Nicks officiating. Pallbearers will be Mark Blankenship, Brian Blankenship, Andrew Blankenship, Greg Blankenship, Scott Schoen and Matt Schoen. Burial will be in Flag Springs Cemetery, California, MO. Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2009 at Meisenheimer Funeral Home in Tipton, MO.
