Kenneth Lee Kreisel
WARRENSBURG — Kenneth Lee Kreisel, 74, of Sedalia, Missouri, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016 at the Warrensburg Veterans Home.
Kenneth was born September 3, 1941 in Sedalia, son of Leo Frederick Kreisel and Dorothy Marie (Mayo) Kreisel. He served in the United States Army in Germany. Following his discharge from active duty, Kenneth married Mary R. Reed in Sedalia. The couple made their home in Sedalia. He was a head clerk in retail foods at Consumer Market for many years. He eventually retired due to health reasons.
For the past several years, Kenneth had resided at the Warrensburg Veterans Home. In years past, he volunteered at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, American Society of The Blind among other places. He loved music and Ford Mustangs. Kenneth was a devout Christian. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Sedalia.
Survivors include his daughter: Michelle L. Fry of Columbia, MO; two sons: Robert L. Kreisel and companion, Margaret Putnam of Sedalia and Michael L. Kreisel and wife, Sandy of Bates City, MO; two sisters: Linda Thomas and husband, Lowell of Overland Park, KS and Judy Bergmann of Bonne Terre, MO; four grandchildren: Mikey Kreisel, Sami Kreisel, Maddison Fry and Errika Fry; great grandson: Grayson Boeck and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in deathhis parents, and sister, Shirley Anglin.
Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 23rd at Williams Funeral Chapel in Warrensburg, with his son, Michael Kreisel officiating.
Interment: will follow in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Higginsville with Full Military Honors provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post #2513 and American Legion, Post #131.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
