Mike was one of my best friends, I can't believe he's gone. We worked together on several different projects all over the country. I know Mike truly loved Karen and the family they had built together. He was so proud to have those two boys and he was so proud of Karen, he was truly happy. I will truly miss you and the talks we had. You were truly a good person, one of the best that I have ever known and an inspiration to so many. Despite Mike being a democrat and neither myself nor according to Mike, his brother, could never convert him over from the dark side, we had so many good laughs about this, I will never forget you buddy, We had some good times together. You may be gone, but your not forgotten. Rest in peace my friend.

Mike was a couple of years older than me in high school, and I always admired and respected him for his kindness toward others. He was intelligent and thoughtful. Even after we had both graduated, he would always make it a point to come over and ask me how I was doing, if we would end up being in the same place at the same time. I was surprised and quite saddened to hear of his passing. I have nothing but fond memories of Mike. He was a class act through and through.

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. I had the distinct pleasure of working with Mike in West Des Moines for a couple years and we sure had a lot of laughs. You'll be missed Mike!
