She taught the Women's Bible class for many years, she volunteered in the Vacation Bible School, and she also was a former president of the Presbyterian Women's Association and a very active member before moving to Michigan in 2011.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mida was preceded in death by her two sisters, Louise (Jack) Greer of Longwood, MO and Ruth (John) Buxton of Kansas City, KS.
Mida spent most of her life as a mother, grandmother, homemaker and all of her life as a faithful and dedicated Christian. Her faith was very important to her from birth to death.
