Paul D Albin

1936 - 2025

Paul D. Albin, 89, of Sedalia, MO, passed away on March 26, 2025, at E. W. Thompson Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sedalia. He was born on March 25, 1936, in California, MO, the son of Arthur Benjamin Albin and Rosa (Murray) Albin, who preceded him in death.
On November 13, 1954, in Jefferson City, MO, he was united in marriage to Connie L. Stubinger, who preceded him in death on August 24, 2024.
Survivors include three sons, Paul of Sedalia, Micheal (Christa) of Sedalia, and Scott of Harrisonville; two grandsons, William and Steven; three step-granddaughters, Chastity, Bailey and Allie; great-grandchildren, Anna, Andi, Riley, and Kyler along with ten additional great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nephew, Ricky Dean Inman.
Paul was a hard worker all his life, he began working at the age of 16 at the Alexander Dairy in California as he wanted to buy a car.
In 1955 he learned the auto upholstery trade, which evolved into initially opening a shop in California, then moving it to Tipton and in 1957 moving the shop to Sedalia with his partner Earl Blaylock, forming A&B Auto Trim. Paul retired in 2004 and turned the shop over to sons, Paul and Mike. Paul was proud that to this day, the business he started is still in operation with now having 3 generations learning the Auto Upholstery Trade.
Paul was active in the West Central Missouri Vintage Car Club and won various trophies with his collection of classic cars.
He also loved to dance with his wife Connie and they won numerous dance competitions at the Missouri State Fair along with dancing on television on the Club Dance show and Wild Horse Saloon show.
One of his highlights was being able to spend 17 winters in Texas with Connie where they spent time with friends and would venture into Mexico.
Paul also loved to play golf and had several holes in one.
Connie was the love of his life. They would always walk hand in hand and now they will be walking together hand in hand again.
In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Inman, and her children, Barbara Rose Henderson and Stephan Mark Inman.
A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Rea Funeral Chapel with Brad Rea officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
A private burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia, MO at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Open Door Ministries in the care of Rea Funeral Chapel.
