CUSTAR -- Barbara Lou Clink, 69, of Custar, Ohio passed away in her home on Tuesday afternoon, September 23, 2025.
She was born May 13, 1956 in Bowling Green, Ohio to the late William "Bill" and Lois (Rossow) Schwab. She was raised in a catholic home with four older brothers and a younger sister. This upbringing gifted her with so many qualities that made her the woman she became.
In 1974 she graduated from Patrick Henry High School. On December 24, 1977 she married Jerald "Jerry" Clink at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar. She found her life partner and the man she would share all of life's greatest joys. The raising of three daughters, the blessings of grandchildren and memories that will last for eternity.
She was a lifetime member of her home church, St. Louis Catholic, and she participated in most all of the church functions. She was on the Festival committee, serving as a primary contributor to the church quilt and chief organizer of the Country Store. She was also active in the Altar & Rosary Society and helped with the baking of the church donuts. Always by her side, was her husband, Jerry as an active contributor and faithful companion.
Her quilting and crafting skills were extensive and she was a Master Sewer. She took these skills and volunteered as a 4-H leader for her daughter's club, the Custar Country Kids. She worked as a friendly and dedicated receptionist at Wood Lane Industries, Bowling Green, retiring in 2016. For over 30 years she served as the clerk of the Custar Board of Public Affairs.
By far her life was at its best when she was loving her family. She was a faithful and devoted wife; nurturing and proud mother and adoring and spoiling grandmother. This love extended to her parents and siblings, as the Schwab families have been spending years in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, making countless trips to be close to their late parents and vacationing with siblings.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Clink; three daughters, Candace (Joe) Corrigan; Brianne (Matt) Riffle; Amanda (Steve) Seedorf; six grandchildren, Joseph Corrigan; Samantha Corrigan; Colin Riffle; Josephine Riffle; Annalou Seedorf; Madalynn Seedorf; four brothers, Steven Schwab; Robert (Marcia) Schwab; Dennis (Mary) Schwab; Paul (Lynn) Schwab and sister, Ellen (Scott) Boyer.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025 at St. Louis Catholic Church, Custar with Fr. Jeff Walker and Fr. Francis Mariadas officiating. Graveside services will be in the church cemetery and a luncheon will follow in the school basement.
Visitation will be from 2-7 p.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Feehan-Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler and from 10-11 a.m., Monday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Milton Township Fire Department or St. Louis Catholic School.
