BOWLING GREEN -- David L. Ferguson, 80, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away peacefully in his sleep on February 23, 2026.
He was born on December 2, 1945, in Hartford, Connecticut, to Dean and Martha Ferguson. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where he developed his enduring love for the Steelers.
David proudly served his country in the United States Army, including one year in Vietnam in Military Intelligence. He graduated from Bowling Green State University, where he was a Falcon Club member for the remainder of his life. He later dedicated his career to the Ohio EPA, where he worked for many years.
David is survived by his former wife, Brenda Sarver Ferguson; his children, Philip Ferguson (Catherine) and Emily Peterson (lan); his sister, Suzanne Hummel (Gary); and his three beloved grandchildren, Owen, Trenton, and Audrey. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Service will be held at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home on April 11, 2026 at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Humane Society in David's honor.
