BOWLING GREEN -- Donna J. Wagner, 77, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away November 13, 2025. She was born February 15, 1948 in West Virginia to the late Donald and Margaret (Tingler) Ball, and grew up in the greater Cleveland area. Donna moved to Wood County to attend Bowling Green State University, earning both a bachelors and a masters degree in education.
Donna worked as a special education teacher for Otsego Schools and then at McComb Middle School, where she taught for 20 years. Donna lived in Weston, Ohio for many years and served the village as a Volunteer EMT and Council Member. Donna enjoyed cooking and baking, travel, collecting antiques, and needlework. She loved music and enjoyed attending the concert series at Kobacker Hall. Donna was an avid Bridge player and organized a Bridge program at the Bowling Green Senior Center. She was also a master gardener, volunteering her time and talents at Simpson Garden Park and cultivating a beautiful home garden.
Donna was devoted to, and much loved by, her family. Donna married David Wagner on June 16, 1990 and he survives. Her children Felicia Szorad (Travis Townsend) and Christopher Szorad live in Lexington, Kentucky and Toledo, Ohio respectively. Donna is also survived by step-children Janet Wagner and Julie (Tom) Stamos and grandchildren Keaton Townsend, Josella Townsend, Evelyn Townsend and Brandon Kinsey.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Denver (Ellen) Ball.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dunn Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
