MCCOMB -- Karla "Kay" (Parker) Leeson, 78, of McComb, passed away October 1, 2025, at Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay.
Kay was born to Ray J. and Juanita A. (Moehlman) Parker on May 22, 1947, in Fostoria, OH. She married Rick Leeson in 1969.
Karla graduated from McComb High School in 1966. She joined the U.S. Marine Corps in 1968 and was discharged as a Private First Class. Karla was also part of the Civil Air Patrol in Savannah, Georgia.
She was a proud longtime member of the Ralph D. Cole American Legion Post #3 and greatly appreciated and enjoyed the fellowship of friends and staff at 50 North.
Kay is survived by her son Daniel R. Parker of McComb; her brother, Tom R. (Andrea) Parker of Gilboa, OH; her niece Sheryl Parker; her grandniece, Lillian, her grandnephew, Cameron; and two great-grandnephews. In addition, step grandchildren include Brandie Stebbins of Toledo, Meriagh Bailey of Mayfield Heights, Demeatric Bailey and Xavier Bailey both of Findlay, and Darrien Lim living in Texas.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Melanie L. Parker.
A memorial service will be held for family and close friends at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Kay's name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Rd., Findlay, (419-422-1500) is honored to serve Kay's family.
