BOWLING GREEN -- Marie B. Perkins, age 89, of Bowling Green and formerly of Pemberville, OH passed away on November 25, 2025 at Brookdale Senior Living in Bowling Green, OH. She was born on January 19, 1936 in Custar, OH to John and Christina (Konrad) Blasius. On June 29, 1957, she married Roger Perkins "Perk" in Custar, OH. Marie and Perk raised 5 children and celebrated over 60 years of marriage together, until Perk's passing in 2017.
She worked as a bookkeeper 40 plus years including taking care of her husband's books at the Perkins Meat Locker in Pemberville. She enjoyed the outdoors which included; bird watching (Cardinals were a favorite), vegetable gardening, spending time with Perk fishing up at the lake. Marie also enjoyed spending Christmas with her grandchildren, collecting Fenton Glass and playing bingo. However, it was spending time with her family especially, her grandchildren that remained her greatest love of all.
Marie is survived by her children: Mike (Tina) Perkins of Portage, Pam (Rick) Miller of Jerry City, Kim (Steve) Snyder of Bowling Green, and Jeannie Perkins of North Baltimore. Grandchildren: Danielle Perkins, Brian Miller, Jeremy (Tonya) Snyder, Ashley Galligan and Sarah Galligan, great-grandchildren: Trenton, James, Logan, Alonnah, and Gracie. Sisters: Teresa Schauweker, Frances (Virgil) Ringler, and brother, John (Vicki) Blasius. In addition to her husband Perk, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Cheryl "Cherie" Perkins, and brother, Bob Blasius.
The family will be hosting a Celebration of Life at The Gathering Place, 222 E. Front Street, Pemberville, Ohio. A private family committal will take place at St. Louis Cemetery, Custar, OH on a future date.
Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, Pemberville, OH.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Pemberville American Legion Freedom Post 183 or Bridge Hospice.
