Thomas Glick Obituary

BOWLING GREEN -- Thomas Lee Glick, 82, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away December 10, 2025. He was born June 28, 1943 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Thomas and Mary (Lee) Glick. He married Marlene Booth on July 6, 1966 and she preceded him in death in 2024. Tom grew up in Toledo, graduating from Central Catholic High School. He earned a BS degree in Education from BGSU and an MA from Eastern Michigan University.

After three years of teaching at Whitmer High School, Tom returned to Bowling Green to make a home and worked at BGSU in the Admissions department 1969-94 and the Athletics department 1995-98. He was known as the unofficial "Voice of the Falcons" announcing BGSU hockey 1977-98, BGSU football & men's basketball 1979-98, BGSU women's basketball, as well as serving as Master of Ceremonies for ice shows and a variety of banquets and university activities, including commencement. He continued working into retirement at the University of North Carolina Wilmington Admissions 1999-2002 and Horry County Schools (South Carolina) 2002-04.

Tom was a lifelong golfer, participating in and organizing various leagues and outings, including the BG Friday Afternoon Golf Group and the Sea Trail (North Carolina) men's golf group. After decades of trying, he achieved his first hole in one April 2025 at BG Country Club. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed following a variety of sports, both in person and on television, from high school to professional. The family's social life was planned around the BGSU athletic department schedule. He particularly enjoyed meeting and interacting with students to discuss their plans for the future.

He was a member of St. Aloysius Church in Bowling Green, Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity, Varsity BG Club, BGSU Falcon Club (past president), the Caribe Men's Club (past president) in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and the Bowling Green Country Club.

Tom is survived by his son Kevin Glick (Rebecca Hatcher) of New Haven, Connecticut and brother Ronald Glick.
