NORTH BALTIMORE -- William Fred Husing, 95, of North Baltimore, Ohio, passed away March 4, 2024, at his residence. He was born January 22, 1929, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to the late Herman William and Frieda (Meyer) Husing. On May 5, 1949, he married Dorothy Martin and had five daughters. She passed away in 1982. On July 28, 1984, he married Dolores Wolfe. She preceded him in death on May 22, 2011.
He is survived by children, Diane (David) Lentz, of Mesick, MI, Cheryl (Michael) Lentz, of Arlington, Ohio, Lorraine (Michael) Ferguson, of Findlay, Ohio, Carol (Gary) Panzero, of Perrysburg, Ohio, James (Linda) Wolfe, of Bloomdale, Ohio, Darrell Wolfe, of North Baltimore, Ohio, Tracey (Kris) Thacker, of Springfield, Ohio and Michelle (Monte) Farris, of Bowling Green, Ohio. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, Scott (Josette) Lentz, Stefanie (Jason) Burton, Joshua DeAmicis, Mark DeAmicis, Bethany (Steve) Miller, Abby Skaggs, Amanda (Aaron Solomon) Barrick, Lee (Melinda) Ferguson, Chad Wesley Ferguson, Rory (Brandi) Ferguson, Angela Panzero, Emily Panzero, Melanie (Chad) Wolfe, Ashley (Adam) Prater, Ricky (Ana) Wolfe, Kyle (Katie Trabbic) Wolfe, Ericka (Andy) Carr, Travis (Katie) Wolfe, Hunter Wolfe, Chad (Samantha) Thacker, Cody (Ellen) Thacker, Zachary Adkins and Brittany (Jay Rowe) Adkins: 32 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat, Thelma.
Fred was also preceded in death by daughter, Gail Raitz, sister Margaret (Elmer) Emch, and son-in-law David Durst. Fred was owner of Husing Meats for over 50 years and a long time member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024, from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at Smith-Crates Funeral Home, 515 N Main St, North Baltimore, OH 45872. An additional hour of visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 10:00 AM until the time of his funeral at 11:00 AM at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 215 N 2nd St, North Baltimore, OH 45872. Burial will follow at New Maplewood Cemetery. Contributions in Fred's memory may be shared with Bridge Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Lane, Findlay, OH 45840, or to 4550 Fostoria Ave, Findlay, OH 45840.
