Eleanor Roosevelt Warford, 88
SHELBYVILLE

Eleanor Roosevelt Warford, age 88, of Shelbyville, passed away on Oct. 27, 2025, at the University of Louisville Health in Shelbyville. Born on Jan. 27, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Annie Mae Perry Warford. Eleanor was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church of Shelbyville. She retired with over 30 years as a dental assistant. She volunteered at the Salvation Army Helping Hands and was a board member for the Operation Care Center. She enjoyed working with her hands, making wreaths, eating with her church lunch bunch group once a month and calling all her family and friends on their birthday and singing, "Happy Birthday".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Warford, Eddie Warford, Earl Warford, Mattie Brown, Lillie Scruggs, Christine Shouse and Margie Greer.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Warford of Shelbyville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, 2025, at the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville. Interment will be in the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery in Waddy. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
