PLEASUREVILLE
John Douglas Hobson, age 89, of Pleasureville, passed away Nov. 7, 2025. He was the son of the late Charles Morgan and Bessie Edith (Howell) Hobson.
He is survived by his wife, Mitzi Hobson; seven children, Bill E. Hobson, Gregory Hobson (Cindy), Sheila Hobson, Michelle "Mitzi" Wood (Jefferson), John Derrick Hobson (Theresa), Jennifer Cramer (Mark) and Andrea Crum (Robert); 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; four step-children, Elizabeth "Libby" Adams (Jeff) and Phil Imel (Velda), Jennifer Hayden (Allen) and Michelle Adams (Steve); six step-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren; and three brothers, Ken Hobson, Joe Hobson and Larry Elliott (Paula).
Memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Nov. 14, at Beckley Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Fenner of Pleasureville Christian Church Officiating. Inurnment will follow the service in the Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
