Lucille "Ducky" Clark

1922 - 2023

Lucille "Ducky" Clark, age 100 of Shelbyville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 28, 2023. She was born on October 17, 1922 to the late Buford and Anna Mae Evans.

Ducky worked in the cafeteria at Eastern High School for 12 years then Jane Hite Elementary for 6 years. She loved that she was able to work school hours so that she could be home when her boys were home. She raised a garden and could can her own vegetables. There is a quilt on her bed that she is very proud of that she made. She also would make a lot of her own clothes. In her spare time she would go out to Dale Hollow Lake on their boat and fish and water ski. In addition to her parents, Ducky is preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Clark; and her granddaughter Teresa Heady Evans.

Ducky is survived by her loving sons and their wives, Robert "Bob" H. Heady (Bonnie) and William "Bill" G. Heady (Joyce); grandchildren, Antoinette Heady, Tony Heady, Robert Michael Heady and Steven A. Heady (Carole); great-grandchildren, Laurae Heady, Caleb Heady, Andy Heady (Samantha) and Nicholas Heady; and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4 to 8pm on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Ducky's life will be 11am Tuesday, June 6th at the funeral home. Entombment will be private at Evergreen Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky.
