Zach Zoeller Obituary

Zach Zoeller, 30, of Shelbyville, died on Tuesday, the 1st day of November 2022, at his residence. Born in Louisville, on the 14th day of May, 1992, he was the son of Chris and Mary Zoeller.

Although he was taken from this earth too early, he spent the time he was given thinking of others and dreaming of ways to make the world a better place. Blessed with a keen eye for finding beauty in places that others could not, he loved working to restore historic homes to their original beauty. When not restoring historic homes and working on his rental property, he was expanding his mind. He graduated from Spalding University with a bachelor's degree in natural science, and earned his master's degree in business administration graduating cum laude from Sullivan University. Zach also attended the University of Louisville Speed School for Chemical Engineering with the hope of one day finding a cure for arthritis, a cause that was near and dear to his heart.

A beloved son, brother, cousin and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him, his survivors include his parents, Chris and Mary Zoeller of Shelbyville; his brother, Skylar Zoeller of Shelbyville; his paternal grandfather, Ron Zoeller, also of Shelbyville; and many other extended family members and friends.

Graveside services will be private. Interment will be in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville. There will be no visitation. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to the Arthritis Foundation, 2908 Brownsboro Road, No. 117, Louisville, Kentucky 40206. The Arthritis Foundation can carry on the dream of finding a cure and thus making Zach's dream a reality. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hall-Taylor Funeral Home of Shelbyville, and condolences may be expressed at www.halltaylorfuneralhomes.com.
