Graveside services for Jerell Sandra Fine Fargo, of Watts, and formerly of Sallisaw, are being held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Akins Cemetery in Sallisaw, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Sandra was born on Jan. 18, 1937, to Noel Fine and Luba (Lessley) fine in Akins. She departed this life on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Siloam Springs, Ark., at the age of 88 years old. She was of the Baptist faith.
Sandra attended Northeastern State University receiving a BS, MS, Psychometry and counseling certification. She was in school education for 31 years and five years at Sequoyah Indian School in Tahlequah. Sandra married Bobby James Fargo on Sept. 4, 1983 in Sallisaw. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2012.
Sandra loved to cook desserts and her specialties were Banana Bread and Peanut Brittle.
Survivors include her son, Dwain Asbill and Kimberly of Watts, who very lovingly cared for her after the passing of her husband; four grandchildren, Kairee Teague and Josh, Kristen Hong and Christian, Cody Tye and Taylor Asbill and Kelly; eight great-grandchildren, Lynnlee Teague, Emery Teague, Jase Teague, Charly Hong, Norie Hong, Cason Asbill, Jett Asbill and Hayden Ball; and a host of relatives and friends.
Loved ones who preceded her passing were her parents; two sisters, Rosalee Cassady and Jonna Rider; a niece, Stacy Oliver; and a nephew, Mark Cassady.
Active pallbearers will be Taylor Asbill, Josh Teague, Christian Hong, Tim Weber, Cody Tye and Jarrod Cassady.
Viewing will be noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
