Sandra Kay Gourley Malick

Sandra Kay (Gourley) Malick, age 73, of Sallisaw, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born on March 2, 1952, in Oklahoma City, to the late Alleene Mary (Duke) Gourley and Delbert Gourley.
On April 10, 1969, she married Gary Wayne Malick, Sr., who preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2018. Sandra dedicated many years to her career, retiring from SCA Packaging.
Sandra's memory will be cherished by her loving family, which includes her daughter, Dureena Doengi and Steve of Sallisaw; her son, Gary Malick, Jr. of Sallisaw; and her six grandchildren, Benton Malick and Keely, Cordell Malick, Kylie Malick and her fiancé Tanner Moad, Christopher West, Kaneesa Brown and Matt and Garret McWaters and his companion Lizzie Lewis. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Grummer and Larry of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Darrel Gourley and Mary of Rogers, Ark., and Paul Gourley and Jan of Noble; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her sister, Naomi Wilson.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held with a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial will follow at Akins Cemetery, conducted under the guidance of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Active pallbearers will include Gary Malick, Jr., Benton Malick, Garret McWaters, Daniel McGarrah, Josh Brackett, and Matthew Brown. Honorary pallbearers are Charlie Brackett, Harry Schneider, Dave Smith, and Tommy Justice.
