Thomas Edwin Carroll, 72, of Sacramento, CA passed away on February 28, 2022 at home. He was born September 19, 1949, in San Francisco. Tom graduated in 1967 from Sunset High School in Hayward. In 1981, Tom married Nancy Ann Hall in Novato.

Tom had many jobs in his life, from pin setting at a bowling alley, to owning and operating a bar and the "Specialty Sports" store in SF, and working as a Security guard around the Bay Area. For many years he worked Security at night and was an Usher Supervisor by day for the SF Giants and SF 49ers, both for over 30 years. Tom was a VIE several times and even "VIE of the year." Tom also hosted monthly employee post-game BBQs for many years starting at Candlestick Park. He was a supportive boss whose knowledge and experience was appreciated by management and admired by the many staff whom he mentored.

In the 1970's and 80's, Tom was a professional dart player, travelling around the country to dart tournaments. He was also a past president of the SF Dart Association (SFDA), SF Dart League, and a founding member and past president of the North Bay Dart Association. During his term as president of the SFDA, he oversaw the inaugural SF Open Darts Tournament and several more to follow.

Tom had a deep love of motorcycles, inspired by his father, who would take him for rides around SF and to the motorcycle races. Above all things, Tom loved people. He was a fantastic storyteller, knew exactly what to say and when to listen, and made friends everywhere he went. He was a loving father and grandfather, loyal to his family, generous, and treated everyone equally. Tom will be remembered by his many friends and family fondly as a jokester who wished to make others laugh and have a good time.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hall Carroll, and daughter, Sarah Yvonne Carroll Pecota (Andrew); siblings, Dolores Weichmann Bronn (Steve) of Montrose, CO, Warren Weichmann (Elizabeth) of Stockton, and Elaine Susan Carroll Foley (Casey) of Green Valley, AZ; and grandchildren, Owen and Alice Pecota, who called him "Papa Tom."

He was preceded in death by his sister Mary Weichmann Klett.

Interment services will be held on March 31, 2022 at 11am at Cypress Lawn 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, followed by a reception at the South SF Elks Lodge. RSVP for the reception by March 23rd at http://www.tiny.cc/TomCMemorial.
