Alexander Ferrero Obituary

Alexander Frank Ferrero

June 15, 1939 - May 20, 2016

Beloved husband of Brenda Ferrero; cherished father and father-in-law of Katie and Matt Sporleder and Sarah and Mike Lickiss; devoted grandfather of Ashley, Matthew, Ryan, Sophie and Allison; loving brother of Bob Ferrero and brother-in-law of Carin Ferrero, Georgia Jones, Janet and Michael Nelson, Marie and Greg Saenger; treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Alex was born in Oakland and remained there to raise his family. He attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he met his wife of 47 years. He worked for Atlas Pacific Engineering, a job he thoroughly enjoyed, for 38 years. Being Italian he was a member of the Fratellanza Club, a club that his parents had belonged. Alex loved to play golf and fish and was a member of the Diablo Valley Fly Fishermen and the Delta Fly Fishers. In retirement he enjoyed woodworking, breakfast and lunch with friends, spending time with his grandchildren, road trips with his wife, helping others, and was always ready for a new project. Alex was a remarkable man; so kind, caring, and loved by all. He will be greatly missed.
In Lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice in his memory.
