Alfred Lee Obituary

Alfred Francis Lee 1931 - 2009 Passed away peacefully on April 2, 2009 with his loving family by his side. Al is survived by his wife Harriet of 52 years and their two sons and spouses, Bob and Pamela and Scott and Tracey; and granddaughter, Elliott Renee Lee, daughter of Scott and Tracey. Al was born November 6, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Fred and Mae Lee, and younger brother to Elsie Mae Thompson. Al spent his childhood in San Francisco attending Marina Junior High School and George Washington High School. He excelled in his education and athletics, while working part time to help his family. He married Harriet Scott in 1957, and the two enjoyed creating a lifetime of memories together with friends, businesses and family. His sales career spanned four decades, first as a partner with AAA Plating in San Francisco, then in real estate on the Peninsula. He was a Realtor with Coldwell Banker from 1974 to 1979, then founded Bankers Real Estate in 1980. Finally, in 1986, Al moved from sales to acquisitions and finished his career with ten productive years serving in the United States Postal Service. Al was the proud father to two sons - Bob and Scott - and showered both with love, wisdom, opportunity, and choice. Raising his family in San Mateo, he lived vicariously through their athletic endeavors and coaching. He also enjoyed time fishing with both Bob and Scott. Al was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the Army for 3 years. While serving in Korea, he earned three Bronze medals. A Memorial Service will be held for Alfred ("Al") Francis Lee Friday, April 10, 2009, at 11am, at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, 1370 El Camino Real, Colma, CA 94014.
