Our beloved son was taken too soon. He was murdered in San Francisco and then burned. He was a loving and respectful young man. He attended Skyline College and was transferring to City College. He was an excellent soccer player who had a deep passion for the game and tremendous skill. He loved to cook, eat and try new restaurants. He enjoyed video games, playing chess and "chilling" with friends and family. He also loved music and singing. He had a beautiful soul and sense of humor. He is and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He leaves behind his mother (Joan Holsten), his father (Sultan Alkhraisat) and Nana (Eileen Holsten). Aunts and uncles: Donna Marconcinin, Catherine and Alan Davary, Jennifer and Ron VanKirk, Sultanah, Malek, Munther, Muntaser Alkhraisat plus many more in Jordan and Jean Holsten. Cousins: Giovani, Sophia, Gabriella Marconicni, Abigail, Danny VanKirk. Amir was loved by many second and third cousins and family far too many to name; however, so much apart of his life was in Jordan and the USA.

God Bless Your Beautiful Soul Amir. We pray that you rest in Eternal Love and Peace. Keep that beautiful bright smile smiling bright and shining down on your parents, family and friends. You will forever live through and with them.
To Amir's parents, my husband and I can't imagine the pain you're both in but offer our deepest and most heartfelt condolences and prayers. Our twin daughters Alyjia & Ariel went to SHC with Amir and Alyjia has continued a close friendship with him till this day and loves him very much. They even called each other brother and sister. I remember Amir always being so kind and respectful whenever we'd see him at school events. He'd always come up to me no matter where we'd see him, with a huge smile saying Hi twin's mom! How are you?! and I'd reply, I'm well, thanks Hun. Then he'd say you're welcome, I hope you have a good day, bye twin's mom!. That was the young man I will always remember. So sweet, always seemed so happy and always smiling. The candlelight vigil was so beautiful and we could feel the love everyone was sharing for Amir. I'm sorry we weren't able to meet that evening but please know that my husband and I are praying for you and your family and will forever keep Amir in our hearts and prayers. God Bless you all now and always.
Love and prayers,
Starla & Jaime Rodriguez (The Twin's parents)

Oh, Joanie and Sultan, I wished so very hard that the outcome was a simple one. It brings tears and an ache in my chest to know that you and Sultan are required to arrange your thoughts and feelings. Amir is okay and at ease now... please ease yourselves with the positive memories, spirit and engergy which was uniquely Amir.

Joan and Sultan and family and friends, please accept my deepest condolences. Amir was a year older than my son Ravi at Grattan Elementary years ago. Amir was always so sweet and kind. There are no words to express how sorry I am.
