At rest on August 23rd 2015 at the age of 88 with his loving daughter Anna at his side. Andy was the loving husband of Desi Vanda for over 69 year. He was the cherished father of Anna Lucchesi, beloved grandfather of Katherine McKinney and Andrew McKinney, proud great grandfather of Serenity Norton, and dear neighbor and friend of Johnny Marenco.Andy was a native of San Cassiano di Controni Lucca, Italy where he met and married Desi. Together they came to San Francisco where Andy started his painting career and eventually started his own business, Andy Lucchesi Painting and Decorating. Andy was an avid hunter, enjoyed bocce ball, boxing and playing cards. Andy had a beautiful voice and loved to sing.
Friends may visit on Tuesday September 1, 2015 after 4:00PM and are invited to attend the Vigil Service also on Tuesday at 6:00PM all at the chapels of Valente Marini Peratat & Co. 4840 Mission St., SF. The Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday September 2, 2015 at 10:30AM at Immaculate Conception Chapel 3255 Folsom St., SF. followed by the Committal Service at the Italian Cemetery. You will dearly be missed Andy I still remember the times hunting Elk Grove with you and my father it's always been close to my heart well I hope the hunting is good iup there and you and my Dad save me some birds always in my heart and rest in peace

Andy had a big heart and was alot of fun to be around. He held a special place for us in his heart and we hold a special place for him in ours. Love, Franco, Susan, Lorenzo and Marcella Lucchesi.

No words can describe the feelings of our loss. In the short time I knew Pa it humbled me greatly. I found the window to his heart and was a kind, loving man and a hero to his daughter whom I love so dearly. Forever a fond memory in my heart and soul.
