Andrew and Effie Vellis gave me fond memories as a child. They were kind and caring. Much of my great memories of celebrating my Greek heritage came from them. God loves them

Dear Gus, Vivian and Aris: I was very troubled to hear of the passing of your dad. From my earliest memories as a child of Annunciation to just a few days ago at the festival, he (and your mother) consistently set examples of faith and commitment to our Greek Orthodox community that we all should strive to emulate. Our church will seem a bit smaller without them but their spirit truly endures. God bless you and thank you for letting us share their lives with all of us.

Dear Gus, Vivian and Aris;
I will never forget your wonderful parents, AND grandparents. I was the flowergirl at your parents' wedding. I know they were happy together. They are together again, now.. As long as I live I will not forget the loving hellos, the kindness, the hospitality they gave ALWAYS to me ,my brothers, my parents. Even when your mother had you all as new babies (I remember Aris and Vivian as newborns) STILL she had family over for holidays and ALWAYS made us feel we were a part of your family. Your father and mother were two of the kindest, most gracious people I've ever known. I will be there for the Funeral. I ask God to bless them as they both go on to something better. Dearest Costa, Vivian, Aris & Family,
On behalf of my family and me, I send you our heart-felt condolences and sympathies for your beloved father, father-in-law and grandfather. I have fond memories of when I was a new graduate of our seminary and had the blessing to serve as a psalti (chanter) at the Cathedral from 1991 to 1996. I thank Andy, Effie, Yiayia Vivian and all of you for your love and your kind hospitality throughout the years. As I keep your beloved Akrivi and Efrosini in my prayers, I will keep Andrew in my prayers as well, most especially at the Proskomidi (preparation and commemoration for Holy Communion). May God rest his soul among the saints. May you find comfort in our Lord's Resurrection as you grieve. May his memory be eternal!
With love and prayers,
