August 21, 1924 -- January 29, 2018
Entered into rest on January 29, 2018 at the age of 93. Dearly beloved wife of John Sklavos (deceased) for 60 years. Loving mother to Joanne Saporita (Carl) and Stephanie Newton-Karnes (Allen). Cherished grandmother (Yiayia) to Gina Carraro (Bruno), Steve Saporita (Danielle), Stephanie Saporita, and Lisa Pham (Van). Dearest great-grandmother (Big Yiayia) to Skylar Jacobs and Dominic Carraro, Cameron and Reese Saporita, Eleni and Athan Pham. Also survived by sister-in-law Dee Sklavos, a niece and nephews, along with good friends Virginia Petrovitz, and Jean Korn.A native of San Francisco and original owner in Daly City for 68 years. Retired insurance agent and long time member of The Golden Years Senior Citizen Club. She was a great baker, loved puzzles, impeccable dresser, and was worried about having her lipstick on until the day she passed. The best Yiayia known for her "never ending Christmas boxes."
Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at Holy Trinity Church, 999 Brotherhood Way, San Francisco, Ca 94132. Trisagion service will be held on Monday, February 5th at 7:30pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at 11:00am. Burial to follow at the Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma.
Donations may be made to Holy Trinity Church (address above) or Vitas Community Connections, 355 Lennon Ln, Suite 150, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.

I cannot believe that it has been 2 years! She was such a wonderful person, kind, generous and a loving friend! After my Mom ( who was one of her best friends) passed away in 2002, she was like a second mother to me! Love and miss you! This was taken in 2014 at my daughter's baby shower!

Our dear Ann will be sorely missed! She was our Mom's partner in crime, work buddy and best friend who was like an Aunt to us! She gave us so much love and comfort when we lost both of our parents and was there for us throughout the years! We loved spending time with her and admired her intelligence, warmth and great style! She was a wonderful, fun loving woman with a generous spirit and kind soul who was always present for our family's milestones and celebrations! You will always be in our memories and in our hearts.
