Tony "Butch" Cuneo passed away unexpectedly at age 68. He and his family have deep roots in South San Francisco, where the family owned A Cuneo Produce. Tony worked the land alongside his grandparents and father, Aldo, delivering to the City's top restaurants while attending El Camino High School, where he played football and was a wrestler. His boyhood crush on his English Teacher, Jane Peabody, turned into a fairy tale ending 20 years later when they married. Having fulfilled his dream of having his own family with Jane and her daughter Amy, the couple traveled the world from Italy and Africa to Hong Kong and Mexico and later moved from Glen Ellen, California to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The one-time farmer and lifelong deer hunter relished their splendid adventures. When they divorced, Amy (Peabody) Ingram, her husband, Brent Ingram, and their two children, Rafe and Rhys became his world. Known as "Nonno" to his grandchildren, Tony never missed a family celebration or a school performance and was always there with a visit or a call to say he loved them. The most loving, kind, and generous soul, our beloved "Campbell Soup Kid," will be truly missed by his family, dear friends, hunting buddies, and the morning coffee gang in North Beach. So very saddened by your passing Butchie. You were the kindest person I ever knew with the biggest heart!!!❤
You were a very true friend and my Aunt Joann and Uncle Johnny really loved you to. Glad you had such a full filled life with your daughter and your grandkids!! Still can remember you getting up in the dark if the mornings and driving your farm truck with all your produce on it to the city BEFORE school then going to school then to football practice and returning to help your Dad at the farm after football practices!!!
May you Rest In Peace and relish in the Farmland in heaven with your relatives!! Keep up your infectious SMILE!!

I was saddened to hear of Butch's passing! His parents and grandparents were prominent farmers in Sunshine Gardens. I grew up with Tony from grade school through high school (I can still seeing him driving the tractor around at a very young age). He was shy and humble in many ways, a high school football player and enthusiastic sports fan. He was a true friend to many who came to know him. On occasion, I would run into him at the Garden Club having dinner or drinks. I'll never forget when I shared with him the loss of our daughter, not even knowing her, he shed tears for me. He had a soft and kind heart. I am glad that he enjoyed having a family of his own and the opportunity to enjoy life after many years of hard work. This being our 50th El Camino High School Reunion, Butch, you will truly be missed!! May you Rest In Peace and relish in God's love with your family in heaven.

I loved Butch and he will be missed. I had a great time hunting with him and Ace. I think Butch ,Robby, ACE, Father Gomez are all having a great time together. Is there going to be a service for him? Just buried my father on Tuesday and went by his fathers grave. Tonight was the first time I heard about his passing. Just breaks my heart. Rest in Peace Big Guy! Love Laura and Bob Chappell.
