The Horatio Alger Association mourns the loss of Arthur Ciocca, 2000 Horatio Alger Award recipient. Mr. Ciocca was an active Member and generous supporter of the Association, being elected to the Board of Directors in 2001 where he continued his service to the Association until his passing. Mr. Ciocca and his wife, Carlyse, helped sponsor Horatio Alger California State Scholarships and Specialized Scholarships for students attending the University of San Francisco. He also was an active participant in the Giving Clubs and annual Awards events. Mr. Ciocca's entrepreneurial spirit and generous contributions will continue to advance the Association's mission for years to come.

We are grateful to Mr. Ciocca for his support and extend our deepest condolences to Carlyse, and his family and friends.
