Carl L. Jech
10/16/1941 - 09/28/2024
Carl died, serenely and with dignity, on September 28, 2024, at Coming Home Hospice in San Francisco, surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born October 16, 1941 in Brainerd, MN, to Rev. He is survived by longtime love, Eric Simpson; and loving family: sister, Mary; his children, Jeffrey and Dawn; his grandchildren, Mahkayla, Talisynn, Ayanna, and Scottie. He lived his life to the fullest, including as a minister, teacher, author, musician, magician, carpenter, world traveler, conversationalist, family man, and loyal friend. Thank you everyone for sharing your memories and condolences for my dad here. The family is grateful to share these memories with you.

Some people have asked if Carl had any preferences for charities. He named these three:
- San Francisco Choral Society (San Francisco, California)
- St. Francis Lutheran Church (152 Church Street, San Francisco, California)
- Wartburg Theological Seminary (Dubuque, Iowa)
