Carol Harvey, 67, passed away in her home, surrounded by loving family, on September 16, 2025.
In life, Carol Harvey was a vibrant partner and wife to her husband of 40 years, Terry Harvey and loving mother of her two children, Logan and Laura Harvey. She was the heart and soul of our family and a voracious learner of all things and lover of life, constantly seeking new ways to engage with the world whether that be through art, travel, music, or cooking. Carol was an artist and her passion to create permeated every facet of her life. One of those passions was working with textiles - making her own wedding dress as well as clothes and Halloween costumes for her children. Carol was a talented gardener, lovingly tending to the arrangements of flowers, fruit trees, and greenery around our family home. Through her talent for design, she led and influenced the continual evolution of our family home's interior.
Carol was a true creative and sewed her magic into the life of her family at every opportunity. Whether it was birthday parties, Christmas gifts or volunteer activities, Carol always brought her creativity, humor, and artistic talent to the table, fondly sharing her talents with those she loved.
Professionally, Carol held a fine arts degree from San Jose State University. She leveraged her understanding of the printing process and graphic design into a career that included work as layout designer for the Sonoma Index Tribune and eventually retiring as a Sales Executive for Multicolor handling the printing of wine labels for large, well-known brands like Korbel, Franciscan, and Trinchero.
Carol began her life in Alameda, was raised in Oakland and San Leandro, met her husband at San Jose State, and was a resident of Sonoma for 40 years where she gave birth to and raised her children. She loved this town where she raised her children and made many friends, all of whom will miss her dearly.
It's nearly impossible to put into words what it was to know and love woman as vibrant and spirited as Carol Harvey. Her dazzling wit, voracious appetite for life, her love of music and dancing, artistic talent, and infectious laughter will be dearly missed by her family and friends. We love you so much Carol; you will live forever in our hearts.
