Caroline Jones

Caroline Anna Jones, age 40, died peacefully on Thursday April 4th in San Francisco after a courageous two year battle with brain cancer. She was born November 22, 1972 in New York City, daughter of the late Antony Winslow Jones and Magda Rydlo Jones. She attended the Brearley School in Manhattan, then earned degrees in Art History and Anthropology from Connecticut College in 1994.

Caroline moved to San Francisco where she married Devon Earl Brian Boyle in 2002. She worked in artistic development for the San Francisco School of Circus Arts until the birth of her daughters Charlotte in 2004 and Eloise in 2008. She was a dedicated volunteer and board member of the Little People of America. Her sense of humor, forgiving manner, intelligence, and enthusiasm inspired everyone whose life she touched.

Caroline is survived by her mother Magda, her brother Adrian, sister-in-law Allison, niece Antonia, husband Devon, and daughters Charlotte and Eloise. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 10AM at the City Club, 155 Sansome Street. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the LPA, 1-888-LPA-2001, or online, lpa.memberclicks.net.

I don't know when or if you will see this, Devon, but I want you to know that I adored Caroline from the moment I met her. She was such an astonishing combination of softness, grace, confidence, and love. I always felt warmed and embraced by her presence. I will miss her and her ready smile, her devilish sense of humor, and watching her with the girls and you. I am sorry for the loss of this soul from our world - we are better for having known her, but diminished by her absence.

All of our love and condolences,

Cynthia and Arti

In 2005, when I first came to Circus Center, I was a wreck. I was relatively new to the exclusive quadriplegia club. I was full of self-doubt. But you helped me find the courage to push on. Your presence was magical. It could be felt for miles I'll bet. Seeing you and Charlotte together never failed to lift my spirits. You will have my enduring O that and admiration. You are unforgettable! Love, Judy
