Charlene Ann (Garric) Trueb, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born in 1933 in San Francisco and lived a life defined by faith, family, and quiet strength.
Charlene married the love of her life, Richard Henry "Dick" Trueb, in 1954 in San Francisco. Together they shared 56 years of marriage, raising their children, building a warm and welcoming home, and supporting each other through every joy and challenge. Their partnership was one of deep loyalty and devotion, and she remained dedicated to Dick's memory after his passing in 2011.
A longtime resident of Millbrae, Charlene was the steady heart of the Trueb family. She raised her children with patience, kindness, and unwavering support, and her home became the gathering place for holidays, celebrations, and countless memories.
She is survived by her children John Trueb and his wife Leslie, Suzanne Tierney, Richard Trueb and his wife Kelly, and Janette Puccetti and her husband Vince all of whom were the pride of her life. Charlene was a loving grandmother to Richard Trueb (and his wife Kelly), Shannon Johnson, Maxwell Trueb (and his wife Krysten), Alyssa Moukhlis, Jacob Trueb (and his wife Ashley), and Ian Trueb. She delighted in their accomplishments, their families, and the joy they brought into her later years. She was also blessed with great-grandchildren, Cal, Kenna, Ford and Rory Trueb, each of whom added immeasurable happiness to her life.
Charlene's family was her greatest joy. She cherished every milestone and every gathering, from big family celebrations to simple afternoons spent together. Her gentle guidance and unconditional love will continue to shape the generations that follow.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dick; her parents and the extended family members she held close throughout her life. Charlene's life was one of quiet grace, resilience, and devotion, and she will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, and the deep love she poured into her family.
Rosary will be held at Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Dr., Millbrae, CA on December 16 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral mass at St. Dunstan Church, 1133 Broadway, Millbrae, CA on December 17 at 10:00 a.m followed by procession to Holy Cross Cemetery, 1500 Mission Rd., Colma, CA. Reception to follow at Crystal Springs Golf Club, 6650 Golf Course Dr., Burlingame, CA
