Christopher passed away at home on July 27th in Emeryville from an aggressive cancer. He was born Febuary 1st, 1949. He retired two and a half years ago after working as an R.N. for the City of San Francisco. His retirement was short but filled with a Danube River cruise, a tour of China, Paris, and London. In his younger days he won numerous awards for his photography skills and he collected vintage and modern cameras. A trip to Fry's Electronics was a requirement every weekend for the latest photographic gadget. He served in the United States Medical Corps at Fort Lewis, Washington and Germany. He was an excellent nurse who put patients immediately at ease. Triage was his specialty and forte.
The flip side of Christopher found him at ComicCom conventions wherever they may be. He was a Certified Master Practitioner of Neuro-linguistic Programming. He practiced Transcendental Meditation daily. He regularly attended Conspiracy Theory Conventions. He loved supporting the artists at Maker's Fairs. Chris gave thought provoking gifts and souvenirs to friends and family, cost being the last consideration.
Chris's parents, Charles and Mary, preceded him in death. He is survived by his sister Donna, and brothers Eric and Geoff. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, all who loved his presence at family gatherings. His coworkers will miss him at their annual Crab Feed at Bodega Bay.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California at 1:00 p.m. on August 20, 2013. A bagpipe will play some of Chris's favorite music. The following Saturday, August 24th, family and friends of Chris will hold a celebration of Chris's life at a ranch in Penngrove. Email [email protected] for directions.

My Condolences to the Bolt family, I met Chris in the summer of 1967, like the Beatles song we had memories longer than the road that stretches out ahead, we also had a huge affinity and connection to the music of Bob Dylan, Chris will be missed dearly, along with his humor and intelligence. Rest in Peace old friend..

Chris was a loyal supporter of chamber music and sought out new restaurants to try and was always up for adventures. He was generous and kind and never forgot a birthday. I will miss him.

I met Chris when I was a sophomore at Burlingame High School and we became friends. Our mothers had gone to Notre Dame High School together. He introduced me to photography and inspired me to learn more! Many an afternoon was spent up in San Francisco with friends after school getting great coffee and hanging on Haight Street or Ghirardelli Square. Chris was an intellectual who had a great deal of compassion for others. We reconnected about 2 years ago and it was great catching up and spending some time with Chris. I will miss you Chris!

Chris Bolt was a friend of mine. I remember him as one of the most caring RN's at the SF County Jail. But on the other hand, he wasn't easily buffaloed by the jail's clientele! I will miss Chris Bolt.

I remember Chris mostly from his constant attendance at our COM concerts. He was a quiet person but offered many interesting comments and questions when given the opportunity.
I also remember his sense of humor and the great laughs we had while sharing drinks and snacks after a concert. He was talented in his recollection of movie quotes and I enjoyed his exchange of quotes with Kelly during this outing.
I will miss his presence and think of him when making music at future concerts.
With sympathy and hugs,
Karen Wright
