Claire S. Loo

Claire S. Loo March 22, 1915 - Nov. 28, 2006 Claire Soo Loo, 91, died peacefully in the early morning of November 28, 2006, in Concord. A loving mother to Dennis and Dexter; loving grandmother to Diana, Valerie, Michael and Katherine; and loving great-grandmother to Taylor, Lauren and Jessica. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruby, Edith, Jean, Lillian; and her brother Donald. She was the second child of eleven born in Berkeley, CA, and a SF Bay Area resident all her life. She enjoyed eating and cooking different cuisines and loved to travel with friends and relatives. The family is especially grateful to the staff of the Reyes Guest Home and the Hospice of Contra Costa for their compassionate care during the last four months of her life. Funeral services Thursday Dec. 7, 1:00 p.m. at Grant-Miller Mortuary, 2850 Telegraph Ave., Oakland, (510) 451-6434. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Oakland. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Grant-Miller Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Contra Costa, 3470 Buskirk Ave., Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
