I remember David from so long ago when I was married to his friend Robert McNear. I remember his diary and often thought of it and of him over the years. He certainly lived a full life! With love, Suzy McNear

Dear Fran,
I was so saddened to read of the passing of your beloved husband, David. I still remember David when he visited with your family quite a few years ago. He was such a gentleman and so well spoken about many topics. He put everyone at ease. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.

Dear Fran, to you and all your family, I send my deepest sympathies at the loss of your beloved David. Though I never had the great pleasure of meeting David personally, I always felt I knew both of you through the beautiful times you shared, professionally and personally, with my precious brother Michael who loved you both so much. When I lost my Michael so suddenly nearly 19 months ago, you brought me comfort and helped lighten my heart just by being there in notes, phone calls and for the wrenching rituals that accompany these losses. I am now with you and hope that you can draw strength and comfort each day from those all around you who knew and loved your David. I know how heartsick and deeply saddened Michael would be at David's passing. With my love to you, Monica

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through. Am still hopefully going to be able to come and share in the ritual of the funeral celebrating the life of my uncle.

Dear Fran,
What a beautiful life David lived, although he was always so down-to-earth and unasssuming. You and the rest of his family will miss him so much, but his spirit will certainly remain with you, fill you with peace, and give you strength. Love, Cathy
