He loved rock music and enjoyed playing the drums. The family wishes to thank the entire team at San Mateo County Medical Center for the treatment David was provided and for their empathy and true caring as his conditioned worsened these past few months. I was close friends with Dave in high school and played in a band with him. I remember Dave as a great drummer and even better friend. He was so funny, and happy, it's hard to believe he's no longer with us. The news was truly saddening. :(

I extend my deepest condoloneces to the Loiacono family and also his friends, who I know share in the sorrow over losing Dave. We'll all remember him and treasure the time we spent with him.

Since I only found out about David dying two weeks ago, I am in complete shock. David was my husband and I loved him very much. We had a very special friendship and love and I will miss him. He will always be in my thoughts and in my heart. Although David and I had parted, we had been in contact over the last year and had become friends again. I am so grateful that I was able to be there for him and be a part of his life. David taught me a lot. I will miss him drumming on everything and that great smile he had. (he also had great hair!)We shared many fun times like riding bikes, walking the dogs, swinging on the swings in the park, playing basketball, and just sitting in our kid pool in the backyard. For a long time, he was my life and I will miss how much he loved me. Take care David, and always remember me....love, h
