Donald Pierce Obituary

Donald Glenn Pierce

Donald Glenn Pierce entered eternal rest on Saturday, March 26, 2021. He was 67 years old, the father of three sons and grandfather to two granddaughters. Born March 14, 1954 to Richard David Pierce and Doris Marie Hill Pierce, he was the eldest of their three sons. He grew up in the Ingleside/Lakeview district of San Francisco, California, attending Abraham Lincoln High School before transferring to Saint Ignatius College Preparatory. He went on to attend San Francisco City College, where he earned an Associate Degree. He then transferred to San Francisco State University, where he studied History, and finally to Saint Mary's College in Moraga where he studied Business Management. Donnie, as he was known to family and friends, was charismatic, outgoing, and friendly. He was an avid fan of Jimi Hendrix, loved "all things sports," and books as well: novels, biographies, history, and his favorite, great espionage fiction. His parents and youngest brother Joseph (Joey) preceded him to eternal rest. He is survived by his brother William (Billy), his sons: Brannon, Kyle, and Ryan, his granddaughters, Monreaux and Marinne, two nephews, William Jr. and Marquez, and great niece Anilah. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at The Lutheran Church of Our Savior in San Francisco on July 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm; Pastor Evered Cohen presiding. Final resting place, Skylawn Memorial Park in San Mateo. Note: For protection against COVID 19, masks are required during the service.
