Doris Loeffler Obituary
November 4, 1925 - May 7, 2023
Doris was a native San Franciscan; she grew up in Noe Valley and later moved to the Sunset District with her husband Jim. Together they raised two sons, Craig and Bill. Doris loved many things about San Francisco including shopping in Union Square and gathering with family and friends for a meal in local restaurants. Doris enjoyed being a homemaker; she kept an immaculate home and garden. She loved decorating for every holiday season. Christmas was always her favorite time of year, and she cherished the family gathering on Christmas Eve. Doris was grateful for the many trips around the world that she took with her husband Jim and their close friends. She had a special sisterly relationship with her cousin Madalyn. Doris died peacefully at the Ivy at Golden Gate Senior living facility. The Loeffler family is grateful for the compassionate care of the staff, especially Martha and Marta. Doris is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James; she is survived by her sons, Craig (Leda) and Bill (Paula), and her grandchildren, Giancarlo (Valerie), Phillip, Robin (Max), and Mark. A Memorial Mass will be held for Doris on May 22nd, 2023 at 11am at St. Gabriel's Church - 2559 40th Ave SF CA 94116.
