Dwayne Lowe Obituary

LOWE, Dwayne Eugene - Passed away unexpectedly at home on September 29, 2005. He was born September 25, 1954 in Kansas City, Kansas. His fascination for airplanes and flying led him to proudly join the United States Air Force after high school. It was there that he met his future wife, Medelline, whom he shared his life with for 30 years. He was also a devoted and loving father to his daughter Shirelle, the light of his life. After graduation from American River College in Sacramento, he and Medelline moved to San Francisco where he became a dedicated employee of SBC for 24 years. He loved his family, friends, computers, music, and flying. Dwayne was a very generous man who always had time for anyone in need and will be remembered with an abundance of love and affection by all. He is survived by a large and loving family, including his grandmother, Mildred Johnson of Fresno; father, Ezra, and mother, Barbara; and siblings, Thelenthia 'Lenny' Whytus, Tamara (Ray) Larkins, William (Frances) Lowe, Wilnetta (Cloy) Miller, and David Lowe of Kansas, and Vonja (Terry) Lewis of Colorado; mother-in-law, Bernarda Ordonez; brothers and sisters-in-law, Amelia (Fred) Bautista, Larcy (Cecil) Santos, Larmy (Sam) Guzman, Victor Ordonez of Hawaii, and Beverly (Tom) Rogers of Maryland; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins from both sides of the family. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 16 at Woodlawn Chapel in Colma from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. A Celebration of his life will follow at Martin Luther King Center, 725 Mt. Diablo, San Mateo from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
