Edith Anne (Taylor) Davis entered into rest on October 2, 2021, at the age of 86. Beloved wife of Donald Duane Davis for 64 years. Loving mother to: Arnold (Laura), Diane Cagle(Allen), Karen (Galileo), Coleen, James (Laura) and John (Sheila)
Devoted daughter of Lee and Martha Taylor (deceased). Dear sister of Clifford (Anita) Taylor, Arnold (Eugenia) Taylor, Audrey Taylor (deceased), Helen (Robert, deceased) Arata. Loving Grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Edith was born and raised in San Francisco. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in 1953. For most of her career she managed the offices of Cal Trans Legal Division.
She was a true sports enthusiast and loved attending 49er games as a season ticket holder for many years. Likewise, Go Giants! She had a passion for baking and loved her books and newspapers.
She was known and will be missed for her constant sense of humor and her contagious good spirits.
After retiring she moved from her San Bruno home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood to the gold country town of Rough and Ready where she lived with her husband Don, Coleen along several beloved cats and dogs.
She is deeply loved and appreciated by all her family and will be greatly missed.
Services will be held on Tuesday, 10/12/2021 at 10:30AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 901 Oceana Blvd., Pacifica. Burial and Celebration of Life to follow.
