Edward J. Mroszczak passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025 in Fremont, CA at the age of 81. Edward was born on February 19, 1944 and raised in Buffalo, NY. He received his BS degree in pharmacy from the University of Buffalo in 1967, MS degree in pharmacy from the University of Wisconsin in 1969, and Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical chemistry from thhe University of California - San Francisco in 1973. Edward joined Syntex Research (Palo Alto) in 1973 and worked there through 1994, rising to the level of Principal Scientist and Department Head in the fields of drug metabolism / pharmacokinetics. Following that he taught part time at UC Berkeley - extension and worked as an independent consultant for several pharmaceutical companies through 2002 and he retired in 2003.
Edward is survived by SaRa Conrad, his long time partner and soulmate and her son and grandson Chad Conrad and Donovan Conrad, his sister Geraldine Keech nephews, Jeff and Brian Keech, as well as numerous cousins.
Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kenmore NY.
