I luckily worked with Ed for many years and he was my last supervisor. He was a man with a generous heart,so warm and supportive and so very funny! He cared about his staff and their families and let us know that, and would always go the extra mile to help us. My thoughts and prayers are with you Joanne and family. He will be missed but always remembered.I chuckle just thinking about his great sense of humor and know he's in heaven amusing the angels!

We grew up with Eddy as neighbors on Rolph St and remember him as being very funny, witty and always kidding us. We have such great memories of Eddy that will keep us smiling for a long time. Our condolences to his family. Hopefully, your memories will comfort you during this trying time.

First, I would like to convey my condolences to Ed's wife Joanne and his children. He was a great man! I worked with Ed for many years and he was always fair, supportive and a total pleasure to be around. He would bless us for coming to work every time you walked by him. He always smiled and made me feel like I truly belonged here. Every time he saw me leaving the building he would make sure that I knew I could call him if I needed bail money! He was too funny and quite the gentleman. You will be missed Ed and I thank you for giving me the opportunity to work with you.

Although I was never under his supervision but we were in the same office, I remembered him as a warm, friendly person. I did not know him as well as I would have like to but I am glad I made his acquaintance. May the comfort of God be in the midst during this difficult time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Joanne and all of Ed's family as you deal with the loss of such a great man. Ed was a knowledgeable, funny and charismatic leader who taught so many of us how to speak up for what was right, not what was popular. Thanks for the laughs and memories Mr. Ward, you will live on in our hearts.

Ed and I were classmates at St. Ignatius. I worked with him during summer vacations as a custodian at various public schools. He was always an honest, friendly and humerous person.
